The Putnam County Young Democrats welcome young, civic-minded citizens the opportunity to become involved in work to support our local Democratic Party and our local Democratic candidates through outreach, canvassing, civic engagement, advising, volunteering, and education.

Putnam County citizens age 16 and older are now eligible to pre-register to vote, and pre-registered 17-year-olds are eligible to work at the polls on election day. To register (or pre-register) to vote, visit the Putnam County Board of Elections website, or call 845-808-1300.

College students who are registered to vote in New York but who are attending school away from home may vote by absentee ballot if they cannot be home to vote in Early Voting or on Election Day.
