The Philipstown Democrats will hold its long-planned rally on private property this Sunday afternoon, October 23, from 3-5pm.

In a move that would appear to defy logic, the Putnam County legislature has moved forward on its quest to defund the county's marine unit just as the summer boating season is beginning. Philipstown's Legislator, Nancy Montgomery, was the sole vote of dissent. The unit has been in operation for 23 years, according to Sheriff Langley.
